Boston Business Journal (BBJ) has named Grand Circle one of the Top Corporate Charitable Contributors in Massachusetts for 2019. Grand Circle ranked 23 of 105 companies honored at the journal’s 14th Annual Corporate Citizenship Summit held at Capo on September 5, 2019. This was Grand Circle’s 13th consecutive year on the list, which recognizes corporations that have made contributions of over $100,000 to local nonprofits.
According to Boston Business Journal’s Market President and Publisher Carolyn Jones, “The philanthropic companies on our list this year are outstanding examples of the impact and importance of giving back, and we are excited to be able to honor them.” Grand Circle was recognized for cash and in-kind contributions of more than $5.6 million, included $3.2 million in the state of Massachusetts alone. Grand Circle’s local efforts involve not only monetary contributions but community service: 987 Associates offered over 2,600 hours of service.
As noted by Juma Crawford, President of Lewis Family Foundation, quoting Henry Ford, “A business that makes nothing but money is a poor business.” Grand Circle looks forward to continuing its efforts together to make Boston a city of opportunity for all, regardless of zip code.
