We’re happy to announce that Juma Crawford, Executive Director of the Lewis Family Foundation, has been awarded Boston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award this year. This award honors business and civic leaders who are making a major impact in the community while also improving the civic health of the Boston area through volunteer work and other forms of philanthropy. Key factors in choosing honorees were professional accomplishments and civic engagement.
“In selecting Boston’s best and brightest young professionals, we are celebrating the local people who are achievers, innovators, and civic leaders in their respective fields,” said Gale Murray, publisher of the Boston Business Journal. “This year’s class of 40 Under 40 reflects the mix of brains and passion that makes a Boston business powerhouse.”
In his role as the Executive Director of the Lewis Family Foundation Boston, Juma’s goal is to more than double the college graduation rates and to increase the number of mid-level jobs for young people in Mattapan, Dorchester, and Roxbury.
